Vyacheslav Butsayev Appointed as Head Coach of Siberia After Coaching Shakeup

According to information obtained by “Championat,” the new head coach of “Sibir” will be appointed as Vyacheslav Butsaev. Previously, the management of the Novosibirsk club terminated the contract with head coach Vadim Yapanchintsev due to unsatisfactory performance.

Currently, “Sibir” is in 10th place in the Eastern Conference, having accumulated eight points, with four victories and six defeats.

Butsaev’s last position was with Astana’s “Barys,” where he took charge during the previous season and spent less than a month with the club. Throughout his KHL career, Butsaev has coached CSKA, “Sochi,” Neftekhimik from Nizhnekamsk, Vityaz from Podmoskovye, and “Barys” in Astana.
