Vandalism Strikes Trent Alexander-Arnold Mural in Liverpool Ahead of Champions League Clash

In Liverpool, vandals defaced a mural dedicated to former defender of the local team, Trent Alexander-Arnold, by splashing paint and writing insults on it, as reported by the Daily Mail.

This incident took place ahead of the fourth round match in the Champions League, where the Merseysiders are set to host Real Madrid. Alexander-Arnold has been part of the Liverpool system since 2004. He made a move to the Spanish club last summer, which has displeased some fans of the English team.

The mural featured a photo of Trent from behind along with the inscription: “I’m just a regular guy from Liverpool whose dream has just come true.”

Angry fans expressed their sentiments with phrases including, “Farewell, el rat,” among other things.

During his time with Liverpool, the defender has won the English league title twice, the FA Cup, the League Cup, the Community Shield, as well as the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
