Popular presenter and journalist **Chris Harris** shared his thoughts on a recent trip with four-time Formula 1 champion **Max Verstappen** of **Red Bull** in a Ford GTD.

“He was just as I had imagined him. The first lap in the Ford GTD was incredible. Let me put it this way without sounding foolish: For the past 25 years, my role has been to hop into various cars and, not being familiar with how they handle on tracks I’ve never seen before, drive them fairly quickly right off the bat, as I usually only have three laps to work with.

What Max accomplished goes beyond my understanding of what’s possible. He just got into a car that was new to him, and during the very first braking zone, I believe he was within about a meter of the limit of what could happen with the car in that corner. I don’t think we had much margin for error, and that was the first corner we entered. So, it’s a true privilege to witness such a level of skill up close,” Harris stated on the YouTube channel **Chris Harris on Cars**.
