Authorities are seeking assistance in locating a man who has reportedly fled from an open prison.

Anton Newell was last seen leaving Spring Hill Prison, located near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, between 08:30 and 10:30 BST on Tuesday, according to Thames Valley Police.

The 36-year-old, who hails from Isleworth in west London, has ties to the Islington area, Merseyside, and the West Midlands, as noted by the police.

Detective Sergeant Matthew French remarked, “We strongly urge the public not to approach him directly, but to dial 999 if they spot him.”

Newell is approximately 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall, possesses short brown hair, brown eyes, and has a slim physique.

He is also identifiable by a “C” shaped scar on his left cheek, additional scars located on his neck and right wrist, and a tattoo depicting two guns on his right shoulder.
