Solar Panel Blaze Forces Mass Evacuation at Wembley Ikea

Approximately 250 individuals were evacuated from the Ikea store in Wembley after a fire broke out in the building’s solar panels.

According to the London Fire Brigade (LFB), around 100 of the solar panels ignited at the Swedish furniture retailer located on Drury Way in north-west London.

The incident prompted the response of five fire engines and roughly 30 firefighters, who are currently on site to manage the situation.

The LFB received about twelve notifications regarding the blaze, which started just after 10:30 BST. Fire crews from Park Royal, Wembley, Willesden, and North Kensington were dispatched to respond to the emergency. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries.
