A 19-year-old, identified as Rinneau Perrineau, better known as Ren, has tragically succumbed to injuries sustained from a stabbing incident in south-west London days earlier.

The Metropolitan Police reported that Ren was attacked around 15:30 BST on Tuesday in Lavender Hill, Wandsworth, and he passed away in the hospital the following Friday.

Authorities have labeled the stabbing as “a shocking crime in broad daylight,” although they believe it to be an isolated event. One individual has been apprehended in connection with the case.

In a heartfelt statement, Ren’s family expressed that he was “loved by many” and was always in the company of his relatives, and that he will be deeply missed.

Detectives are actively pursuing leads, with the investigation progressing swiftly.

Acting Borough Commander Amanda Mawhinney conveyed, “Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones during this difficult time. A young life has been lost, leaving his family and friends with an unimaginable grief. Our officers are diligently working to hold those responsible accountable. Residents may see an increased police presence in the area as patrols have been heightened.”
