Tragic Blaze Claims Life of Woman in Peckham Home Fire

A woman has lost her life after a house fire occurred in Peckham.

The London Fire Brigade reported that their control center received 22 calls regarding the blaze on Bath Close, with the first notification coming in at 10:00 PM GMT on December 22.

The fire led to damage on part of the second floor of the mid-terraced residence.

Paramedics attended to three women at the scene, and two of them were transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, one of the women succumbed to her injuries later.

Firefighters from Peckham, New Cross, Greenwich, Brixton, and nearby stations managed to bring the fire under control around 11:15 PM GMT.

The origins of the fire are currently being investigated.
