Tragic Accident: 15-Year-Old Boy Found Dead After Lake Incident in London Park

A 15-year-old boy tragically lost his life after encountering difficulties in a lake located in south-east London.

Authorities, including the Metropolitan Police, fire service, and paramedics, were dispatched to Beckenham Place Park in Lewisham shortly after 3 PM on Friday, April 4, following reports of a missing boy.

On Saturday, the police announced that the search for the boy, initially estimated to be 16 years old but now confirmed to be 15, had been called off.

He was recovered from the water at 10:42 PM on Friday and transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His passing is being regarded as unexpected, with no suspicions of foul play.

According to police, “His family has been informed and is receiving ongoing support.”
