Tottenham Man Faces Charges of Murder and Assault in Death of Local Woman

A 40-year-old man, Simon Levy, is scheduled to appear in magistrates court on Monday, facing murder charges in connection with Sheryl Wilkins’ death.

Levy is additionally charged with two counts of rape, intentional strangulation, and grievous bodily harm.

Sheryl Wilkins, aged 39, was discovered unresponsive on High Road in Tottenham on the morning of August 24 and was declared dead at the scene.

Following an inconclusive post-mortem examination, an investigation commenced, leading to Mr. Levy’s arrest on September 4, with the murder charge being filed on September 7.

These charges also involve a second victim, whose identity remains undisclosed due to the sensitive nature of the allegations.

Levy’s appearance is set for Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
