South London Man Charged with Wifes Murder Following Tragic Incident at Home

A man has been charged with murdering his wife in south London, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Hai Van Nguyen, aged 41, was formally charged on Monday in connection with the death of his 45-year-old wife, Hien Thi Vu, at their residence in Hatfield Close, Lewisham.

The London Ambulance Service notified police about a seriously injured woman in Hatfield Close at 06:41 BST on Sunday, but unfortunately, she was declared dead at the scene.

Shortly thereafter, at 06:52, Mr. Nguyen arrived at Lewisham Police Station to discuss the incident. He was subsequently arrested and charged with murder.

The Metropolitan Police indicated that a post-mortem examination will be conducted in due time.

Mr. Nguyen has been held in custody and was expected to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday afternoon.
