The Japanese company Konami has finally revealed the release date for “Return to Silent Hill,” the film adaptation of the second installment of the iconic Silent Hill series. The horror movie will premiere in theaters worldwide on **January 23, 2026**, and it will also be officially released in Russia.
“Return to Silent Hill” is based on the beloved video game Silent Hill 2 and follows the story of James Sunderland, who travels to the fog-shrouded town of Silent Hill in search of his wife, Mary. However, the bleak and ominous town is no longer as he remembers it. Along the way, James will encounter familiar characters who will attempt to divert him from his quest for Mary.
Initially, the film was expected to hit theaters in the fall of 2024, but Konami postponed its release by a significant 1.5 years. The leading roles in the project are played by Jeremy Irvine (“War Horse”) and Hannah Emily Anderson (“X-Men: Dark Phoenix”). The film is directed by Christophe Gans, known for the original “Silent Hill” movie.
