American journalist and television host **Rachel Nichols** shared her thoughts on the potential for the Los Angeles Lakers, a team in the National Basketball Association (**NBA**), to win the championship in the 2025/2026 season.

“I don’t place the Lakers on the same level as Oklahoma City and Denver; to me, they are on a different tier. But the Lakers, damn it, are in their own category. If they win the finals, no one should be surprised,” Nichols stated, as reported by Sports Illustrated.

In the previous 2024/2025 season, the Los Angeles Lakers finished third in the Western Conference, but were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
