Three-time world champion, Japanese figure skater **[Kaori Sakamoto](http://example.com)**, shared her reflections following her defeat at the first stage of the ISU Grand Prix in Angers, France. Sakamoto finished in second place with a score of 224.23 points, falling short to her fellow countrywoman **Ami Nakai** who scored 227.08 points.

“Every competition holds significant importance for me when it comes to the results. This stage was also crucial. Today, I learned many lessons and realized the areas I need to improve. Now I have a clearer understanding of what I need to work on throughout this season,” Sakamoto said, as reported by Championship correspondent Sonia Kasatkina.
