The 33-year-old Russian basketball player, **Dmitry Kulagin**, who plays as a shooting guard for Kazan’s UNICS, has surpassed the milestone of 1,000 assists in the VTB United League.

He achieved this significant milestone during a regular-season game of the 2025/2026 season against “Pari Nizhny Novgorod,” where UNICS secured a convincing victory with a score of 100-69.

In that match, Dmitry recorded 16 points, four rebounds, and two assists, which allowed him to reach the 1,000 career assists mark.

Kulagin has become the third player in the history of the VTB United League to reach this number of assists. His renowned teammate Alexey Shved holds the top spot with 1,516 assists, while another Russian player, Dmitry Khvostov, is in second place with 1,214 assists.
