Former head coach of Moscow’s Spartak, **Oleg Romantsev**, emphasized that proficiency in the Russian language is essential for foreign coaches working in Russia. Notably, out of the 16 coaches in the clubs of the Mir RPL, 12 hold Russian citizenship. Only Rostov, Pari Nizhny Novgorod, CSKA, and Spartak are led by foreign coaches.
“Knowing the Russian language is a must for foreign coaches in Russia. I can’t imagine explaining anything to a player through a translator,” Romantsev told Match TV.
As of today, CSKA holds the top position in the Mir Russian Premier League standings with 24 points. Lokomotiv is in second place with 23 points, while Krasnodar rounds out the top three, also with 23 points.
