Victor Wembanyama Reflects on His Transformative Experience in China

The center and leader of the San Antonio Spurs, **Victor Wembanyama**, shared his thoughts on his summer experience at the Shaolin Temple, where he trained for the current season of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

“My primary takeaway was the joy of immersing myself in Chinese culture. I’m not just referring to visiting temples, but the entire trip to China. At the Shaolin Monastery, I felt a new energy awakening within me: I learned unfamiliar movements that bestowed my body with a unique vitality and strength,” Wembanyama stated on the [San Antonio YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/@spurs).

Following his return from China, Wembanyama remarked that the kung fu techniques he acquired enabled his body to perform movements that were previously out of reach, significantly enhancing his physical abilities and coordination.
