Escalating Tensions: Four Civilians Injured in Overnight Drone Strikes from Russia and Ukraine

At least four civilians sustained injuries following drone strikes from both Russian and Ukrainian forces during the night, according to officials from both nations on Wednesday.

This incident came a day after reports indicated that Russian attacks had led to the deaths of at least seven civilians and left many more injured in various regions of Ukraine, including Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk on Tuesday.

According to governors and emergency services, three individuals were injured due to overnight drone and missile attacks in Ukraine’s Odesa, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions.

The Ukrainian Air Force stated that Russia had launched 95 drones and decoys during the night, with 61 either being intercepted, jammed by electronic warfare, or disappearing from radar. It confirmed that the Russian drones struck seven unspecified locations.

In the Kursk region of Russia, close to the Sumy border, a 66-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital after Ukrainian drones caused damage to four residential buildings, as reported by acting Governor Alexander Khinshtein on Telegram.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its air defense systems had intercepted seven Ukrainian drones overnight, including two in the Kursk region. This follows a trend of significantly reduced Ukrainian drone attacks, with around 200 reported on Monday.
