The French biathlete and five-time world champion, **Emilien Jacquelin**, expressed his admiration for the overall leader of the 2025/2026 World Cup, **Johannes Thingnes Bø**. On December 20, the Norwegian triumphed in the pursuit race held in Annecy. Jacquelin finished in second place, edging out **Erik Perro** and **Johannes Dale-Showdal** in the final stretch.

“Johannes Thingnes Bø is demonstrating an exceptional, extraordinarily high level of biathlon. Kudos to him, there’s nothing more to say. Meanwhile, we’re just competing for second place,” Jacquelin was quoted as saying by Ski-Nordique.

Jacquelin currently holds the eighth position in the overall standings, with a total of 258 points, while Bø leads with 510 points.
