Bear Returns: New Mascot for Russias Olympic Team Unveiled

The Minister of Sports of Russia and Chairman of the Olympic Committee of Russia, **Mikhail Degtyaryov**, has announced the introduction of a new mascot for the Russian Olympic team. The mascot is named Misha, inspired by the emblematic figure of the 1980 Olympics.

“We have developed a new unified mascot for the Russian Olympic team, based on one of the most recognizable sports mascots in history — the official mascot of the 1980 Olympics. Currently, Misha is undergoing the trademark registration process with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property. He will replace the blue bear, which appeared from nowhere. We will have a proper bear,” said Degtyaryov, as reported by Match TV.
