The seventh-ranked UFC welterweight (under 77 kg), American **Joaquin Buckley**, sharply responded to the comments made by former UFC middleweight champion **Israel Adesanya** from Nigeria. Adesanya had previously admitted to having negative feelings towards Buckley.
“You should be hating the farmer (referring to Sean Strickland) who took your belt, not me. Get your act together, African, or Chinese, or wherever the hell you’re from, you freak,” Buckley wrote on his social media.
In his most recent fight, which headlined the UFC on ESPN 69 event, Joaquin shared the octagon with Nigerian fighter Kamaru Usman. The match went the full five rounds and ended with Usman winning by unanimous decision.
