In the semifinals in Hong Kong, Rublev lost to Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti, who is currently ranked seventh in the world, with a score of 7:6 (7:3), 5:7, 4:6.

“Ondrey has been playing well in his recent matches. His match against Musetti was incredibly exciting. Lorenzo displayed remarkable tennis at the crucial moments. Rublev was at 4:5 and 15:40, and Musetti brilliantly saved those points with such freedom and speed. I appreciated the performance of both players. I don’t believe Rublev’s loss should cast a shadow over his abilities. It’s disappointing to lose, but there’s potential for a strong showing at the Australian Open,” Olkhovskiy remarked during a conversation with Championship correspondent Yegor Kabakov.
