Algerian Sex Offender Recaptured After Prison Release Error in London

A sex offender from Algeria, who was incorrectly freed from incarceration, has been apprehended by law enforcement.

Brahim Kaddour-Cherif, aged 24, was detained after a member of the public recognized him in Islington, London, shortly before 11:30 AM on Friday.

He had been released from HMP Wandsworth in south London on October 29. Authorities stated that they were not informed of the error until the following Tuesday.

Kaddour-Cherif had been found guilty of indecent exposure in November 2024, in connection with an incident that occurred in March of that same year.
