“Today marks the birthday of my second father, teacher, and mentor; the person who took me under his wing when I first joined the senior team at CSKA, and we continue to walk side by side to this day!

The 39-year-old goalkeeper made his debut for CSKA at the senior level in 2003. In total, Akinfeev has played 813 matches for the army team.
