Only Five Teams Set to Compete in Kazakhstans Basketball Championship

The official website of the Basketball Federation of Kazakhstan has released the schedule for the upcoming matches of the 2025-2026 season, which will see the participation of only five teams: “Almaty Legion,” “Astana,” “Barsy-Atyrau,” “Kaspiy,” and “Tabol.”

Notably, the reigning champion of the 2023-2024 season, Almaty’s “Irbis-Alatau,” will not compete this year, along with clubs like “Irtysh” and “Aktobe,” which cannot participate due to funding issues.

With only five teams taking part in the upcoming Kazakhstan championship, the clubs will face each other eight times across the 32 rounds of the regular season.
