Former head coach of KHL clubs, Vyacheslav Butsaev, has expressed his belief that Vladimir Krikunov, the head coach of Sochi, will unlock the team’s potential. It is worth noting that the 75-year-old specialist took charge of the southern club during the off-season.

“Krikunov is a legend of Russian hockey. His teams have always been known for their excellent physical conditioning. Sochi has demonstrated this at the start of the championship. The team is striving to make up for a lack of skill with determination and hard work, even though many players on the Sochi roster have already gone through their development as athletes. They are not newcomers to the KHL. The club has yet to fully reveal its capabilities. Krikunov and Sochi still have surprises in store for the entire league,” Butsaev’s quotes are reported by Metaratings.
