Enbert Shares Insights on Petrsyan and Gumeniks Olympic Qualifying Prospects for 2026

The silver medalist in figure skating at the Olympics, **Alexander Enbert**, shared his thoughts on the chances of Russian athletes **Adelia Petrosyan** and **Petr Gumennik** at the qualifying tournament for the 2026 Olympics, set to take place in Beijing.

**— What do you think about Gumennik and Petrosyan’s prospects in Beijing?**
**— For them, this will be a relatively straightforward competition. I fully comprehend the level of responsibility they face: the immense pressure, the limited quotas available, and the lengthy absence of international competitions. All of these factors will undoubtedly weigh heavily on the athletes. However, if we set that aside, I am 200% confident that they will have no trouble securing a quota for the Olympic Games,** said Enbert in an interview with Championship correspondent Maria Kravchenko.

The qualifying tournament for figure skating for the 2026 Winter Olympics is scheduled to be held in Beijing from September 17 to 21.
