The 41-year-old former UFC interim lightweight champion from the USA, **Tony Ferguson**, stated that he considers his match against fellow American **Brock Jardine**, which took place on September 25, 2010, at the PureCombat 12: Champions for Children event, to be one of the toughest of his career. Ferguson won that bout via technical knockout in the fourth round.

“Before signing with the UFC, I had a fight against Brock Jardine that was truly significant for me. It was the first five-round match of my career. I agreed to take it on very short notice. We really put on a show together. It’s hard to find footage of that fight, but damn, I was close to losing.

No one expected me to win, but I was prepared, went out there, and we did it. I fought Brock, and that led me to the UFC. So, the bout against Jardine stands out as one of the most challenging tests I’ve faced in my career,” Ferguson’s remarks were cited by Bloody Elbow.
