Euston station in London is set to be closed for three days during the Easter weekend for essential engineering projects, according to Network Rail.
Train services between Euston Station and Milton Keynes Central will be halted on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday due to enhancements being made to the West Coast Main Line.
On those days, Euston station will not be operational and will operate with a limited schedule on Friday.
Amanda Webster-Uz, who leads operations at Euston for Network Rail, highlighted that there is a “substantial amount of work underway” at the station and encouraged travelers to verify their travel plans ahead of time.
During the closure of the line to Euston, Network Rail will undertake “necessary upgrades” to restroom facilities and will install new signage throughout the station.
The station will also close again during the Spring Bank Holiday weekend from May 4 to May 5, with a limited number of services on May 3.
Additionally, train services in south London will face disruptions over the Easter weekend due to a significant upgrade initiative.
A railway junction in Battersea will undergo reconstruction, a new signalling system will be implemented in Lewisham, and fresh track will be installed on the Bromley North branch line.
From April 18 to April 21, Southeastern trains traveling to and from London Victoria will be rerouted to either London Cannon Street, London Charing Cross, or London Blackfriars, while Brixton station will also be closed.
Network Rail is advising passengers to prepare in advance for travel during the Easter period, as Thameslink, Southern, and Southeastern trains are all expected to be impacted.
