A man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a woman who was fatally stabbed in Earl’s Court, located in south-west London.
Authorities received a call to a residence on Old Brompton Road at approximately 11:15 GMT on Wednesday, December 10. The victim, 39-year-old Xiaoqing Ke, a Chinese national, was found deceased at the scene.
Deepak Sandhu, a 23-year-old from Newlands Avenue in Southampton, is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Additionally, a second individual, aged 47, who was detained in relation to the investigation, has been released on bail while further inquiries continue.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley from the Metropolitan Police expressed his condolences, stating: “Our thoughts are with Xiaoqing’s family during this extremely challenging time.
“Although a man has been charged, our investigation is ongoing, and we encourage anyone with information who has not yet come forward to reach out to us.”
