87-Year-Old Mans Death Leads to Murder Charge Against Acquaintance in South-East London

A 47-year-old man has been indicted for murder in connection with the passing of an 87-year-old individual in southeast London.

Vasile Iosebica, residing on Wellmeadow Road in Lewisham and acquainted with the deceased, is scheduled to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Emergency services were alerted around 01:00 BST on Sunday, August 24, to a residence on Wellmeadow Road, Lewisham, where the elderly man was found deceased.

A post-mortem examination conducted on Monday determined that the cause of death was due to neck compression.

The victim’s relatives have been notified and are receiving support from specially trained officers, as reported by the Met.
