20-Year-Old Faces Court Over Violent Stabbings at Oxford Circus Underground Station

A 20-year-old man has been brought before the court facing charges related to the separate stabbings of two individuals at Oxford Circus Underground station.

Mohamed Yousif, residing in Winns Mews, Tottenham, attended Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, where he was charged with two counts of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm, one count of common assault, and one count of possessing a knife. Additionally, he faces a charge of theft.

Law enforcement was summoned to the scene following reports of stabbings in the early hours of August 30 and 31. Two victims, a 41-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, were hospitalized for their injuries.

Yousif has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Inner London Crown Court on October 2.

British Transport Police continue to seek witnesses to come forward with information.
