Former SKA coach **Sergey Cherkas** shared his thoughts on forward **Josh Livo** leaving Salavat Yulaev to join Traktor.
“It’s odd that for several years now, a republic with an excellent team and strong traditions continues to face financial issues. This is concerning. Is there really nothing that can be done to prevent the team’s leaders from departing? Think about how well the Finnish players performed at Salavat. This situation is alarming. I hope this prominent club doesn’t end up like Vityaz.
On the other hand, Traktor has lost several key players and needed to strengthen their roster. From what I understand, Traktor is again aiming for top results, and a player like Livo is certainly essential for them,” Cherkas said, as quoted by Vprognoze.
As a reminder, Vityaz recently informed the Kontinental Hockey League about suspending its participation in the KHL Fonbet Championship and the MHL OLIMPBET Championship until 2030.
