The French forward of the Los Angeles Clippers, **Nicolas Batum**, spoke highly of the Serbian center of the Denver Nuggets, **Nikola Jokic**.

“In the 2023 Western Conference Finals against the Lakers, it was sheer madness. You could tell that [Jokic] was destined to win this year. He’s untouchable—simply the best player in the world. That was one of the greatest playoff performances ever by a single player, especially considering he’s a European.

Dirk was the top player in 2011, but what [Jokic] accomplished in 2023 made people think, ‘Alright, he’s the real deal.’

If you watched the Olympics, the USA team had Steph and LeBron… But the standout player of the tournament was Jokic. He might just be the only guy lately who excels in both FIBA and the NBA,” Batum shared in the podcast The Young Man and the Three.
