Twin Stabbing Incidents at Oxford Circus Prompt Urgent Police Appeal

Two individuals have been attacked with knives at a central London Tube station within a 24-hour span, and authorities suspect the incidents may be linked.

British Transport Police responded to Oxford Circus station at 03:40 BST on Saturday and again shortly after 01:30 BST on Sunday following reports of serious assaults.

A 23-year-old man was hospitalized due to stab wounds on Saturday, while a 41-year-old man was discovered injured on Sunday and also required medical attention.

Authorities are seeking witnesses and have shared a photograph of a person they wish to speak with. So far, no one has been arrested.

Although they did not disclose the specific locations within the station where the stabbings occurred, it is noted that the Night Tube operates through Oxford Circus on the Victoria and Central lines during the weekends.

According to police, neither victim’s injuries pose a threat to life or are considered life-altering.

Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Davies stated: “Violence has no place on our rail network, and investigators are diligently working on these two interconnected events.

“Passengers can expect to see an increased police presence at the station as officers continue their investigations.

“We urge anyone who was in the vicinity and may have witnessed these attacks or the circumstances leading up to them to contact us and assist with our inquiries.

“Even the smallest piece of information could be crucial to our investigation.”
