Tragic Discovery: Body Unearthed in Ongoing Search for Missing 11-Year-Old Kaliyah Coa in River Thames

Authorities have discovered a body while searching for an 11-year-old girl who vanished in the River Thames nearly two weeks ago.

Kaliyah Coa was reported missing after she entered the water in North Woolwich, east London, on March 31, during a school inset day.

The Metropolitan Police announced that the body has not yet been officially identified; however, Kaliyah’s family has been notified and is receiving support from specialized officers.

The police were informed of the body’s discovery in the river at Maritime Quay, close to the Isle of Dogs, at approximately 09:00 BST on Sunday.

Emergency responders initiated an extensive search in a bid to locate her, and the following day, the Met reported that a “recovery mission” was in progress.

Shortly after Kaliyah’s disappearance, local residents mentioned that she had been playing by the water alongside a young boy and girl.
