Teen Charged with Murder Following Fatal Shooting of 18-Year-Old in North London

A 17-year-old male has been charged in connection with the murder of an 18-year-old who was shot in north London.

Keanu Harker, aged 18, sustained gunshot wounds and was discovered on Great Cambridge Road in Enfield at approximately 8:45 PM BST last Thursday. He later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The teenager, whose identity is protected due to his age, is scheduled to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court later today.

Additionally, a 24-year-old suspect is currently in police custody after being detained on Monday on suspicion of involvement in a murder conspiracy. The Metropolitan Police have stated that multiple lines of investigation are underway.

Detective Chief Superintendent Caroline Haines commented, “Our thoughts are with Keanu’s family, friends, and all those impacted by his tragic death. This incident is deeply unsettling for any community.”

She added, “We are moving quickly to ensure that those accountable for Keanu’s demise are brought to justice.”
