Staying True: Marchand Reflects on His Consistent Style with the Panthers

The forward for the Florida Panthers, **[Brad Marchand](https://www.example.com**), stated that he hasn’t altered his playing style since moving from the Boston Bruins, where he spent his entire NHL career.

“I believe the most important thing for me is to avoid trying to be someone other than who I am. That’s something I find quite challenging. On the ice, I remain true to myself, and there’s no changing that. I talk a lot in the locker room and on the bench, trying to lead by example. Therefore, I will just focus on doing what I’ve always done and not undergo any changes. In my opinion, one gets into trouble when joining new teams and attempting to change oneself to fit in and play differently, and that’s a mistake I want to avoid — trying to change in order to adapt to a new team. So, my aim is to simply be myself. Still the same old thorn in your side,” Marchand was quoted by the team’s press service.

So far, Marchand has played 10 games for Florida, recording 4 points (2 goals and 2 assists).
