Sexual Predator Targeting Women on Londons Transport System Sentenced to Over Four Years in Prison

An 18-year-old has been sentenced to four years and eight months in prison for sexually assaulting four women over a span of three days.

Hadi Al Koumi entered a guilty plea on three counts of sexual assault and was convicted on a fourth charge. His sentencing took place at Isleworth Crown Court on September 12.

The assaults occurred at various underground stations and on London Tube trains from August 6 to August 8, 2024.

Following his release, Al Koumi will be subject to three years of supervision, and the court has recommended that he be deported. Additionally, he received a six-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a six-year restraining order, along with a lifetime requirement to register as a sex offender.

The court was informed that on August 6, Al Koumi was at St John’s Wood underground station when he crouched behind the first victim and assaulted her before fleeing the scene.

On August 8, he attacked a second woman at Green Park station as her train pulled in, nonchalantly walking away and winking at her afterwards.

That same day, he went on to assault two additional women, one at East Acton station and another while on a train traveling between Greenford and Perivale station.

In a dramatic turn of events, the fourth victim managed to hurl a glass at him after the assault before exiting the train and contacting the authorities.

CCTV footage captured the incidents, leading to Al Koumi’s arrest by the British Transport Police (BTP) at Perivale station on August 27, 2024.

BTP Det Sgt Matthew Nolan remarked that Al Koumi demonstrated a “deeply troubling and offensive pattern of behavior towards women.” He added, “Al Koumi purposefully exploited the rail network to carry out multiple assaults for his own sexual pleasure.”
