At the 30-minute mark, forward Maxim Voronov opened the scoring with the first goal. The Serbian team equalized at the 60-minute mark. However, Russian midfielder Vitaly Bondarev put Russia back in the lead in the 78th minute. Just four minutes later, forward Viktor Solopov doubled the guests’ advantage. In the final minute of the match, Bondarev scored again, completing his brace and sealing the final score.

The two teams had previously met on October 10, with the first friendly ending in a 3:2 victory for Serbia.
