Peter DeBoer Parts Ways with Dallas Stars as Head Coach

The general manager of the Dallas Stars, **Jim Nill**, announced that **[Peter DeBoer](https://www.dallasstars.com/tags/25168-piter-debur/)** has been relieved of his duties as head coach.

“After careful consideration, we determined that our locker room needs a new voice to help us achieve our goal of winning the Stanley Cup. We want to express our gratitude to Peter for all he has contributed to our organization over the past three seasons, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors,” stated Nill, according to the team’s press service.

Under the leadership of the 56-year-old coach, the Dallas team reached the Stanley Cup semifinals for three consecutive years. This season, the team was eliminated by the Edmonton Oilers, losing 1-4 in the series.

Previously, DeBoer has served as head coach for the Florida Panthers, New Jersey Devils, San Jose Sharks, and Vegas Golden Knights.
