RF Basketball Federation Comments on Alexey Shveds Move to UNICS

The Secretary General and Executive Director of the Russian Basketball Federation (RBF), **Vladimir Dyachok**, shared his thoughts on the transfer of guard **Alexey Shved** to UNICS. It’s worth noting that the 36-year-old athlete signed a contract with the Kazan club for a duration of two months, with the announcement occurring on November 4th.

“I believe that for now, Alexey and UNICS will take the next two months to assess their compatibility. If they find that they are a good fit, Alexey may extend his contract through the end of the season. However, if things do not work out, he will likely explore other options, including opportunities in China.

Naturally, we hope that the top Russian players, and Alexey is certainly among them, choose to stay in Russia. It’s important for us to watch them play, attend their games, and for young players to learn from their experience on the court,” Dyachok’s comments were reported by “RIA Novosti Sport.”

Alexey Shved was congratulated on his birthday by “Shanxi Loongs”:
