Argentinian driver for Alpine, **[Franco Colapinto](https://www.championat.com/auto/_f1/tournament/922/match/72256/#text-all)**, was involved in a crash during the first segment of qualifying for the British Grand Prix.

Colapinto spun out in the final corner, after which he skidded into the gravel trap and made contact with the wall. His car sustained damage, preventing him from reaching the pits, and he came to a stop on the track. Consequently, the session was halted with a red flag.
