The President of Russia, **Vladimir Putin**, extended his condolences upon the passing of three-time Olympic champion and multiple world champion in artistic gymnastics, **Alexander Dityatin**. The former athlete was 68 years old.

We have lost a three-time Olympic champion and a legendary figure in our nation’s artistic gymnastics. Alexander Dityatin was determined, strong-willed, and had high expectations for himself; this unwavering dedication was the foundation of his remarkable achievements and significant victories. He instilled these same qualities in his many students.
