Porzingis on the NBAs European Vision: Belgrades Fans and the Allure of Life in Europe

30-year-old Latvian basketball player Kristaps Porzingis, who plays as a power forward and center for the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, shared his thoughts on the league’s project in Europe.

“I’ve heard that the NBA is considering expanding into Europe. I’m not sure what it will look like, but there are definitely exciting possibilities on the horizon. And who knows? Why not? In my opinion, there’s nothing better than living in Europe, in cities like Athens, Barcelona, Madrid, and so on. There are so many beautiful places to live, enjoy life outside of basketball, and play in front of some of the best fans. Clubs like Partizan in Belgrade and Crvena Zvezda have amazing supporters who are truly passionate. We’ll just have to wait and see,” Porzingis was quoted by Basket News.
