Nominees for the 2025 First Five Award Announced by the Victor Gorlov Childrens Football League

The Children’s Football League named after Viktor Gorlov has announced the nominees for the annual national award “First Five” recognizing the top young player of the year in the Russian Premier League for the 2025 season. The award is presented to players under 21 years old who have participated in at least 50% of their team’s matches in the Mir RPL.

Each footballer is eligible to receive the award only once, which is why Alexei Batrakov, who won the prize last year, does not appear among the nominees.

According to the DFL website, the award recipient is determined through a voting process involving club leaders and coaches from the RPL, mentors of youth, junior, and national teams, representatives from the RFU, RPL, First League, DFL, football development organizations, as well as journalists and readers of “Sovetsky Sport.”
