Former Manchester United and England defender Gary Neville expressed harsh criticism of team player Luke Shaw following the match in Round 12 of the English Premier League against Everton (0-1).
“I’m not saying it’s easy to play against ten men; you need to act quickly and push as many players forward into attacking positions as possible. Shaw is starting to move forward a bit, but he does so at a slow pace. That’s not acceptable. You should be running forward every single time, not acting as if you don’t care. It’s a complete waste of time,” Neville’s comments were reported by Sky Sports.
In the current season, Shaw has made 12 appearances for the club in the Premier League, contributing one assist.
