The British Formula 1 team McLaren has slightly altered the color scheme of their cars for the upcoming two races: the Monaco Grand Prix and the Spanish Grand Prix. The new livery pays homage to the iconic McLaren M7A car, which the team used from 1968 to 1971.

“The McLaren M7A race car not only opened new frontiers for the team by securing its first Formula 1 victory in 1968, driven by none other than Bruce McLaren, but it also showcased the legendary papaya livery for the first time, marking a significant moment in an era dominated by black-and-white television broadcasts,” the team’s statement reads.

As a reminder, the Monaco Grand Prix will take place from May 23 to May 25, while the event in Barcelona is scheduled for May 30 to June 1.
