Former Ferrari chief Maurizio Arrivabene has shared his thoughts on four-time Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen from the Red Bull team, likening him to the seven-time titleholder Michael Schumacher.
“Max is a phenomenon. In a Formula 1 car, there are around 50,000 components, and he manages to extract the utmost from each part. He is the heir to Schumacher. He possesses the same strength and leadership qualities; he knows how to inspire those around him,” Arrivabene stated, as reported by AS.
It’s worth noting that at the conclusion of the 2025 Formula 1 season, British McLaren driver Lando Norris emerged as the world champion, while Verstappen finished in second place.
Previously, a similar comparison was made by 1996 world champion Damon Hill.
