It is noted that Leonard was supposed to receive the stock payments over a four-year period; however, since the shares were never liquidated, those payments never commenced. Furthermore, it has been highlighted that Leonard did not receive the complete amount of the promised $28 million.
The details regarding the questionable contract with Aspiration were previously revealed by journalist Pablo Torre. It is reported that this arrangement was facilitated by Clippers owner Steve Ballmer as a means to circumvent the salary cap.
