Joazinho: Stricter Foreign Player Limit Could Benefit Russian Football

Former midfielder of Moscow’s Dynamo and Krasnodar, **Joãozinho**, shared his thoughts on the tightening of the foreign player limit in the Russian Premier League.

“Strengthening the restrictions on foreign players could certainly benefit Russian football. However, this doesn’t mean that the overall quality of the league will improve as a result. It’s a complex issue, and time will be the only judge of its outcome. Right now, no one can accurately predict what will happen,” Joãozinho stated to Legalbet.

Currently, clubs in the RPL can register up to 13 foreign players, with a maximum of eight allowed on the field at the same time. It has been previously reported that the tightening of this limit will begin to take effect starting from next season.
